How much Test do you guys typically cruise with?

  • I’ve seen numbers from 100-500mg a week, so I’m just curious on how much Test you guys run during a “cruise”. Also, if one were to cruise at a higher dose 250mg+ what are some precations they can take to negate negative side effects and stay healthier?

  • To me there’s two types of cruise. Trt to maintain sexual function and cruise to maintain size . For that it’s probably 1mg per lb of body weight.

    I’m more interested in maintaining size, honestly. If I were to cruise around 250-300mg a week, long term is that unhealthy if all health markers like BP, bloodwork, ect is in range?

  • I cruise at 250mg - 300mg a week. Been doing it for a couple of years now after deciding to stop cruising at lower dosages. No negatives to speak of at the moment. I get bloodwork done regularly and had an echo done on my heart in addition to some other tests about eight months ago, everything looked good.

    I make sure I eat decently clean and stay hydrated. Cardio 3-4x’s a week in addition to heavy weight training.

    thanks for the reply. My TRT doc has me at 250mg a week, so I didnt want to go any lower then that, and was even thinking about increasing it a little. Diet is in check, and I also do cardio 4-5 times a week, sometimes more. I take CoQ10, Garlic, Fish oil, NAC, and Vit C to try and stay as healthy as possible.

    You should be fine, just make sure you get bloodwork done at decent intervals (which I’m sure you do already being on TRT via a doctor) and don’t let your diet go to shit.

    My test levels stay around 1500-2000 depending on my dosage when I’m not blasting and I keep them around there on cruises.

    It’s not like we are professional bodybuilders who cruise on grams of testosterone.

  • 175mg of test C and 150mg of Deca per week.

  • TRT/HRT/cruise used to mean test levels within natural reference range but the BB community has largely shifted to define TRT/cruise as ‘test dosage/levels that may be supraphysiological but still allows relevant blood markers to recover/stay in healthy range’, so I’d argue the healthier your lifestyle (cardio, nutrition, sleep, low stress), the more you may be able to get away with.

    I can see 250-300mg being possible, if you need more than that to maintain size, you’re likely so heavy anyway the sheer amount of your bodyweight (muscle or fat doesn’t matter in this context) alone will put stress on your heart/system, and so I’d actually argue for losing size/weight now and then like the BB of era’s past did when going off cycle - by their example you can see as well how quickly they were able to regain all of their size back when getting on cycle again, so that’s not an issue.

    The larger argument would be: Is it best for ones health/system to maintain a certain size/state (homeostasis, avoiding negatively stressing our system) or to be ‘flexible’ (hormesis aka adaption through positive stress, related concepts of metabolic flexibility and a circadian/seasonal rhythm akin to our ancestral lifestyle up until we had to adapt to the seasons of the year and thus changing environments etc.)

  • 100-300mg. If I’m really wanting a break from the gym and everything, on the lower end, otherwise 250-300mg is great. No need for AI still so it’s nice.

  • If one is concerned with health a longer ester microdosed at 60-65mg every 72hrs will provide your body with even levels that are less likely to present side effects.

    You can run 300mg/week, but eventually you will see side effects, but you will also gain strength fast. You’ll probably notice some swelling, some bloat, you’ll be carrying more water weight which is good for your joints, probably not good for your blood pressure. You’ll probably produce more red blood cells and need to get it drained off.

    Other then that, I wouldn’t consider it bad for your health as these side effects will present themselves gradually and then you’ll have time to figure out if you want to correct them or not.

    Long term health of guys on test, no really knows, but in the next few decades with millions of guys on test, we’re gonna find out. One thing we can be certain of, the FDA and the doctors are going to do their best to keep control of this hormone so they can keep the money rolling in for these hack doctors that make a killing prescribing hormones that shouldn’t even need a prescription.

  • I know a fella that cruises at 100-125 and he’s a lot bigger than me, he deflates quite a bit, but after ~1-2wks of blasting he is back at where he was.

    I’ve always cruised at higher test/wk like what’s been mentioned in this thread but I might give a lower dose a go after my current blast.

  • 50mg per week. I’m estrogen sensitive so anything more than that requires the use of an AI for me.

  • I cruise at 200mg every 10 days using Test Undeca works great for my age!

  • Note: I’m prone to high HTC/HGB on Test.

    At 100mg/wk, I can cruise without donating blood and stay in range. If my RBC levels get too high, I drop to 100 to recover.

    At 125mg/wk, I have to donate blood to cruise indefinitely. This is fine, donating blood helps other folks, so this is where I cruise for the most part.

    At 150mg/wk, my HTC/HGB will slowly creep up, even with donating blood every 8 weeks.

    YMMV. Pick a dose, get your bloods, and respond intelligently.

  • 175/wk puts me around 900ng/dL. Realistically it’s probably when I look the best because my face leans out so much and I have the ideal “big without being puffy” look.

  • 125mg~150mg Test E every week for me

  • I’m relatively small, and I was cruising at 200-250mg test e per week. Was still making gains, not just maintaining. I still needed an AI, but not as much as on blast. AI requirement was proportional to the blast - ie 1/2 blast dose = 1/2 AI, for me.

  • I cruised on my test E for a solid month at about 150mg a week - felt overall better better libido on LOWER test if thay makes any sense. Very little AIs now.

    My blast was not most people blast mind you at either 250 or 375 for a brief time.
